旅行 の前に → りょうこう の まえに – ryokou no maeni – Before go to trip
前に – maeni – before
旅行 – ryokou – travel/trip
ex) 旅行の前に、ビザを申請します – ryokou no maeni biza wo shinsei simasu – Before I go to trip, I apply for a visa
ビザ – biza – VISA
申請(しんせい)する – shinsei suru – apply
2) verb + 前に
食べる 前に → たべる まえに – taberu maeni – Before you eat
食(た)べる – taberu – eat
ex) 食べる前に、手を洗います – taberu maeni te wo arai masu – Before eating, wash hands
手(て) – te – hand
洗(あら)う – arau – wash
3) Sentence + 前に
会議が始まる 前に → かいぎがはじまる まえに – kaigiga hajimaru maeni – Before the meeting begins
会議（かいぎ） – kaigi – meeting/conference
始(はじ)まる – hajimaru – begin
ex) 会議が始まる前に、準備します – kaigiga hajimaru maeni、jyunbi simasu – Before the meeting begins, prepare
