1-1) しゃしんは　つくえのうえに　あります。 – syashinwa tukue no ue ni arimasu – the picture is on the desk
写真（しゃしん）- syashin – picture
机（つくえ）- tukue -desk
上（うえ）- ue – on
ex)
かれは、とうきょうに　います。- karewa tokyo ni imasu。- he is in Tokyo.
東京（とうきょう）- toukyou – tokyo

1-2) つくえの上に、写真があります。 – tukue no ue ni、syashin ga arimasu。- there is the picture on the desk.

2)　どこに、しゃしんは　ありますか？ – dokoni syashinwa arimasuka? – where is the picture?
どこに – dokoni – where
←ここに あります。 – koko ni arimasu。 – picture is here.
←あそこに　います。 – asoko ni imasu。 – picture is there.
ex)
かれは、どこに　いますか。- karewa doko ni imasu。- where he is?
←あそこに　います。 – asoko ni imasu。 – picture is there.

3)　ちかくに　ぎんこうは、ありますか？ – tikaku ni ginkou wa、arimasuka? – Is there a bank nearby?
近く（ちかく）- tikaku – nearby
銀行（ぎんこう）- ginkou – bank,
ATM — automatic teller machine
←こうばんの　となりに　あります。 – kouban no tonarini arimasu。 – It is located next to the police station
交番（こうばん）- kouban – police station
隣（となり）- tonari – next
